We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join us here at Octavius. In this role you will oversee projects allocated to us on National Highway's Scheme Delivery Framework in National Highway's area 10 and 13.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading customer‑focused project teams to exceed expectations, ensuring high‑quality, timely project delivery.
  • Fostering strong engagement with stakeholders and local communities to create positive project outcomes.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with industry standards, contracts, and governance processes.
  • Driving financial performance through effective cost control, accurate forecasting, and profit accountability.
  • Promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all levels of the team.
  • Mentoring and developing team members, sharing best practices to enhance skills and project outcomes.

About You:

You’ll Bring:

  • Commercial awareness, and good level of programming and contract knowledge.
  • Familiarity with NEC 4 contracts, and an understanding of how project and package P&L impacts on corporate finances.
  • Experience working for a tier 1 contractor and managing a project portfolio up to £15 million.
  • Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, professional certification in project management, or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma Methodologies is an advantage.
  • Significant experience in highways construction, specifically road building and drainage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC or ICE contract conditions and programme management.
  • SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card.
