We are partnering with a leading asset manager that is significantly expanding its data capabilities and looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to help lead the development and optimisation of their modern data platform. This role is ideal for someone with 5–9 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, strong expertise in SQL and Python, and a proven track record of designing scalable, high-quality data products and pipelines across cloud-based environments. You will be comfortable taking ownership of complex data solutions, guiding best practices, and collaborating closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and optimisation of end-to-end data solutions using SQL, Python, and robust data transformation practices
- Play a key role in transitioning legacy datasets into Snowflake and building scalable, cloud-native Python data pipelines that power analytics and reporting
- Take ownership of the company’s Snowflake data platform, ensuring performance, reliability, and adherence to best practices in data engineering
- Drive improvements across existing SQL processes and C# workflows, ensuring high data quality and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable and maintainable data products
- Contribute to data governance initiatives and platform-wide enhancements as the company’s data ecosystem evolves
We are looking for:
- 5–9 years of professional experience in data engineering, with strong SQL, Python, and C# skills
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining complex data pipelines and data products
- Solid understanding of cloud-based data platforms, with exposure to Snowflake
- Experience working in AWS or other cloud environments
- Deep understanding of data quality, governance, and operational best practices
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
