We have recently been instructed by a best-in-class, high-performing, investment-led fund looking to add a European Long/Short Equity Analyst to join their investment team. This is a compelling opportunity to join an exceptionally strong platform where your ideas will directly influence capital allocation and performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating high-conviction investment ideas across European equities on both the long and short side. Working closely with senior investors, you’ll conduct deep fundamental research, build robust financial models, and develop differentiated views that drive alpha.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis on European listed companies
- Develop and pitch actionable long and short investment ideas
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks
- Monitor portfolio positions and provide ongoing research updates
- Engage with company management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts
- Identify catalysts, risks, and asymmetric opportunities across sectors
- ~2–5 years’ relevant buyside experience, either at an asset manager or hedge fund.
- Strong academic background with excellent analytical and financial modelling skills
- Demonstrated interest in public markets and investing
- Experience or clear exposure to short-selling strategies is highly desirable
- Ability to form independent views and articulate them with conviction
- High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive mindset
