We’re working with a London-based asset manager that is hiring a Data Analyst for its equity investment team. You’ll work with portfolio managers and researchers to analyse complex and unstructured datasets, including consumer and behavioural data, and present findings that help inform investment decisions. You’ll also build tools and visualisations that make data easier to use across the team.
Responsibilities
- Work with alternative and behavioural datasets related to listed equities
- Build clear, practical dashboards and internal tools
- Clean and organise unstructured data to produce usable insights
- Work with both quantitative and fundamental investment teams
- Help develop and maintain the team’s data infrastructure and analytics tools
Requirements
- Academic background in a quantitative subject (e.g., maths, statistics, computer science)
- Practical experience coding in Python or R
- Experience working with unstructured or alternative datasets
- Interest in public markets and how investment decisions are made
- Able to explain findings clearly to colleagues who aren’t technical
- Useful but not essential: Experience with visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Plotly)
