We are working with a leading independent economic research firm to recruit a Eurozone Economist for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in their London office. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced economist to contribute to high-quality macroeconomic analysis and forecasting for a global institutional client base.
The Role
As a Eurozone Economist, you will play a key role in:
- Producing forward-looking macroeconomic forecasts and analysis for the Eurozone and major member economies.
- Writing clear, concise, and data-driven research notes on economic developments, policy moves, and geopolitical risk.
- Monitoring and interpreting economic indicators, financial markets, and ECB policy to support clients\β investment and policy decisions.
- Contributing to thematic publications and cross-market research in collaboration with global economics teams.
- Participating in client briefings, presentations, and Q&A sessions to communicate your views.
What Weβre Looking For
We are seeking candidates with strong academic and professional credentials in macroeconomics and forecasting. Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- A solid academic background in economics
- Experience producing macroeconomic research or forecasts, ideally within a research firm or Bank
- Familiarity with ECB policy, Eurozone fiscal structures, and regional economic dynamics.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to non-specialist audiences.
- Comfort working with macroeconomic data and indicators.
- A proactive, intellectually curious approach to economic research.
This role reports to the Chief Eurozone economist and would therefore suit a mid level candidate
