A leading firm is currently looking for an analyst to join their team to focus on fundamental cross commodity strategies with a specialization in the oil and energy field. The fund is absolute return focused, and your role will be to combine detailed supply and demand forecasting, fundamental, macro-economic, and physical market information to develop alpha-generating forecasts in the Oil and Energy space.
Responsibilities and experience should include:
- Keeping abreast and informing senior management on oil market developments, domestic energy policy, and geopolitics.
- Developing and maintaining models for supply/demand balances.
- Making physical and paper trade recommendations for Oil commodity trading (crude and products).
- Analysing short to medium-term supply dynamics and global supply trends for Oil.
- Fundamental analysis and market reporting.
The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years’ experience in Cross commodity/Oil/Energy Research.
