We are looking for an organised, compassionate and proactive Triage Officer to join a busy Work & Skills team in Rhondda.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service and administration experience who enjoys supporting people and helping them access the right employment and skills services.
You'll be the first point of contact for referrals, ensuring individuals receive the most appropriate support while working closely with internal teams and external partner organisations.
- Location: Ty Elai, Heol Dinas Isaf, Tonypandy, Rhondda Cynon Taf, CF40 1NY
- Pay: £18.62 per hour (Umbrella)
- Contract: 15 Weeks+
- Start Date: ASAP
- Working Pattern: Hybrid – Typically 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for client referrals via telephone, email and community settings.
- Triage referrals and direct clients to the most appropriate employment and support services.
- Maintain accurate client records and performance data using internal systems.
- Provide administrative support, including report preparation, monitoring information and compliance documentation.
- Process invoices, purchase orders and training bookings.
- Organise meetings and events, prepare agendas and take meeting minutes.
- Work collaboratively with Employment Mentors, Engagement Officers, In-Work Support teams and external partners including Jobcentre Plus, Careers Wales and training providers.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a customer-facing, community-based or administrative role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and databases.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
