Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Employment Coordinator to join the Working Denbighshire Employer and Training Team.

You will work closely with local businesses and employers to identify, develop and coordinate opportunities including work experience, work placements, work trials, apprenticeships, recruitment opportunities and employment.

  • Location: East Parade, Rhyl, Denbighshire, LL18 3AH
  • Rate: Β£16.50 per hour
  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Contract: 3 months+

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with employers and businesses across a range of sectors.
  • Proactively identify and develop new employment and work placement opportunities.
  • Understand employer recruitment needs and match suitable opportunities to participants.
  • Negotiate with employers to secure work experience, work trials and employment opportunities.
  • Support participants with preparation for employment, including interview preparation and understanding workplace expectations.
  • Organise and support jobs fairs, careers events and employer engagement activities.
  • Work closely with internal teams, training providers and external partner agencies.
  • Use labour market information to identify local opportunities and employer needs.
  • Work towards agreed employment targets and contribute to the overall success of the Working Denbighshire programme.

About You:

  • We are looking for someone who is proactive, confident and excellent at building relationships.
  • You should have experience of working with employers or businesses, developing relationships, identifying opportunities and working towards targets or outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills are essential. Experience of supporting people who face barriers to employment would also be highly desirable.
