We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Administrator to join a busy recycling and waste management operation based at Docks Way Recycling Centre in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous administrative experience within a heavy industry, logistics, recycling, waste management, manufacturing, transport, or industrial environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate recording of vehicle movements and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.

  • Location: Docks Way Recycling Centre, Docks Way, Newport, NP20 2NS
  • Hours: Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 15:30, Friday 07:30 – 15:00 (37.5 hours per week)
  • Contract: 12 Months+
  • Pay: £13.26 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the site weighbridge system and accurately record vehicle weights.
  • Process weighbridge tickets and associated documentation.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and manual records.
  • Enter data onto company systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Welcome and direct drivers, contractors, and visitors to the site.
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally.
  • Provide general administrative support, filing, and document management.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Experience working within a heavy industry, waste management, recycling, logistics, transport, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Strong data entry and IT skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
