We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join our Fleet Services team based at Trostre Depot. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and supporting a diverse fleet of council vehicles that provide essential services across the county.
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the Council’s fleet vehicles. This includes diagnosing faults and maintaining hydraulic and electrical systems associated with specialised vehicle bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on Council fleet vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on HGVs and specialist vehicles.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and electrical equipment used in specialised vehicle bodies.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and Council procedures.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with HGVs or commercial vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence – Minimum Category B.
