We are looking for experienced Class 2 Sweeper Drivers to join our team in Leyland. This role involves operating road sweepers across local routes, ensuring roads, sites and work areas are kept clean and safe. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers who want regular work, long shifts, and the ability to pick up as many or as few shifts as they like.
Pay Rates
- Weekdays: £12.50 per hour (after 8 hours: £18.75 per hour)
- Saturdays: £18.75 per hour (after 4 hours: £25.00 per hour)
- Sundays: £25.00 per hour
Shift Pattern
- Typical shifts: 6am – 5pm
- Plenty of shifts available
- Choose your own workload – flexible, ongoing work
Requirements
- Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Current CPC
- Previous sweeper driving experience is essential
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently
- Good understanding of vehicle checks and basic maintenance
Key Duties
- Operating a Class 2 road sweeper on local routes
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Ensuring safe and efficient sweeping of roads, sites and work areas
- Completing basic paperwork and shift records
- Maintaining a professional attitude when representing the company
