Court of Protection Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Court of Protection Officer. This is a rewarding role, supporting some of the most vulnerable adults in our community by managing their financial and property affairs on their behalf.\\n\\nLocation: Cunard Building Water Street Pier Head Liverpool L2 2BS\\nHours: 35 hours per week\\nStart date: As soon as possible\\nPay: £19.00 per hour umbrella\\n\\nTo be responsible for a caseload, managing the property and finances of vulnerable adults for whom Liverpool City Council is appointed as Deputy or Appointee by the Court of Protection.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * Protect the property and financial affairs of vulnerable adults subject to Court of Protection orders.\\n\\n * Act under the delegated authority of the Court Appointed Deputy to enforce Court Orders on behalf of the Court, Liverpool City Council, and the client.\\n\\n * Ensure compliance with the Mental Capacity Act (2005), Office of the Public Guardian Deputy Standards, and the Directions of the Court Order.\\n\\n * Liaise effectively with the Court, Social Workers, council staff, HMRC, DWP, financial institutions, and other relevant bodies on behalf of clients.\\n\\n * Represent the Court of Protection at meetings involving individual clients and their families where required.\\n\\n * Provide advice and guidance to Social Workers and family members on procedures following the death of a client, including funeral arrangements and estate matters.\\n\\nRequirements:\\n\\n * Experience of managing property and financial affairs in a public sector, legal, or financial services environment.\\n\\n * Strong knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Court of Protection processes.\\n\\nIf you are an organised, compassionate professional looking for a role where your skills can positively impact people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you
