Valeting & Vehicle Logistics Manager Hinckley A highly organised, confident and hands‑on Valeting & Vehicle Logistics Manager is required to take control of a team of 12 valeters at a busy automotive operation in Hinckley. This is a fully operational role — not desk‑based — requiring strong leadership, high standards and excellent coordination across a fast‑moving site. The Role You will oversee the valeting team and manage all vehicle movements between the main dealership, storage sites, preparation centre and other required locations. Key responsibilities include: Managing, supervising and motivating a team of 12 valeters Allocating daily workloads and monitoring individual performance Ensuring vehicles are cleaned, prepared and presented to required standards Prioritising sold vehicles, customer collections, new stock and showroom units Planning and coordinating vehicle movements across the Hinckley operation Ensuring vehicles are in the correct location and ready on time Organising drivers, collections, deliveries and internal movements Working closely with sales, preparation and handover teams Maintaining accurate vehicle‑location and movement records Monitoring attendance, punctuality, productivity and quality Conducting daily briefings and setting clear priorities Carrying out regular quality inspections Managing valeting products, equipment and stock levels Identifying delays or operational issues and resolving them quickly Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed Reporting performance and operational issues to senior management The Person We Need The successful candidate will be: A strong, confident and respected people manager Firm, fair and consistent with performance and conduct Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable in a fast‑paced, demanding operational environment Focused on delivering consistently high presentation standards Clear, direct and confident when giving instructions Proactive, decisive and able to solve problems independently Visible, hands‑on and present throughout the operation Experienced in valeting, vehicle preparation, logistics, transport or similar Competent with basic computer systems and record‑keeping Holder of a full UK driving licenceWhat’s Offered A responsible management role within a large, growing automotive operation The authority to organise the site and drive improvements A fast‑moving environment where strong leadership is recognised Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for progressionThis role suits an experienced Valeting Manager, Vehicle Preparation Manager, Yard Manager, Logistics Supervisor or Automotive Operations Manager with proven leadership in a busy automotive environment.
