Roadside Technician Nights (Field based) providing roadside assistance for a national breakdown company with over 15 million members. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities. This is a permanent night role for an experienced Vehicle Technician or Mechanic who enjoys diagnostics, fault finding and working independently. You'll provide roadside repairs and emergency breakdown assistance, starting and finishing your shifts from home.

£48,121.87 basic including night allowance + bonus and overtime opportunities. Permanent / Full time role.

Shift and schedule for the Roadside Technician role: 40 hours per week between 6am and 12pm, Monday to Sunday. Shifts known 4 months in advance. Flexi and/or optional fixed overtime at £30 per hour. All hours start and stop from home, as soon as you start the van.

Job Responsibilities for the Roadside Technician role:

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete mechanical repairs and fault finding where possible at the roadside.

What you'll need to be considered for the Roadside Technician role:

  • Must have a minimum Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent with at least 2 years' relevant experience; or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical diagnostic experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based night role.
  • Must have a Full UK Driving Licence with fewer than 6 points.
