LCV Technician required for a modern workshop maintaining and repairing vans, light commercial vehicles and specialist fleet vehicles. £1,500 joining bonus, industry-leading training, genuine career progression and Monday to Friday working. Must have the right to work in the UK.

Location: Southampton (Romsey)

Pay: £17.76 - £20.33 per hour (£40,000 - £45,000+ depending on experience)

Joining Bonus: £1,500 (£750 paid in your first month's salary and £750 after successful completion of your 90-day probation)

Job Type: Permanent | Full Time

Working Hours: Workshop based role working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours between 7:00am and 6:00pm, typically working 8:00am - 5:00pm with flexibility available. No weekend work required. Saturday overtime is entirely optional and paid at enhanced rates.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced LCV Technician, Light Commercial Vehicle Technician, Van Technician or Vehicle Technician to join one of the UK's largest commercial vehicle rental and fleet maintenance businesses. Working within a modern, well-equipped workshop, you'll maintain and repair a varied fleet of light commercial vehicles while developing your skills through one of the industry's most comprehensive technical training programmes.

You’ll work on leading manufacturers including:

  • Mercedes-Benz
  • Ford
  • Iveco
  • Other leading commercial vehicle manufacturers

Whether you’re an experienced LCV Technician or an accomplished Vehicle Technician looking to move into commercial vehicles, this business offers structured training, excellent support and genuine career progression.

LCV Technician Responsibilities:

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on light commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Complete vehicle inspections and health checks
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing
  • Carry out repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Maintain accurate workshop documentation and job records
  • Ensure all vehicles meet safety and quality standards
  • Work closely with an experienced team of technicians in a professional workshop environment

LCV Technician Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification (NVQ Level 3, IMI Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing vehicles within a dealership, independent garage, fleet workshop or commercial vehicle environment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a busy workshop team
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to develop new skills

Experience working on light commercial vehicles is advantageous, however experienced Vehicle Technicians with strong mechanical and diagnostic skills are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided.
