We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated After-Sales Manager to join our team at our Dunstable branch. This is a hands-on, process-driven role focused on delivering excellent customer outcomes and supporting a small customer care team.
About the Role
This is not a large-scale management position. You will oversee a small team of 12 customer care team members, providing guidance and support to ensure after-sales cases are handled effectively. You will not be responsible for managing technicians or sales staff directly, but you will play a key role in coordinating across departments. The position centres on managing ongoing after-sales cases, ensuring customer concerns are resolved efficiently, and maintaining high standards of communication and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage active after-sales cases from start to resolution
- Support and guide the customer care team with complex or escalated issues
- Review incoming vehicle issues and determine appropriate actions
- Liaise closely with the Sales Manager, Workshop Controller, and Parts team
- Ensure customers are consistently updated and responses are delivered promptly
- Maintain adherence to company processes and industry regulations
Requirements
- Solid experience within the motor trade
- Strong understanding of the Consumer Rights Act and its practical application
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Sound judgement and the ability to guide others to the right outcome
- Organised, proactive, and process-driven approach
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary of approximately £30,000 (depending on experience). Realistic bonus potential of £7,000 - £10,000 per year. Supportive team environment with clear processes in place.
