Our client is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join their centre in Ashbourne. This is a new position for our client in their automotive centres nationwide. It’s a front-of-house role giving trusted advice and exceptional service to valued customers. This role offers a great salary, benefits, bonus scheme, training programme and career progression.

Location: Ashbourne

Pay / salary: Basic: £30,000 + bonus £500 per month OTE: £36,000

Job type: Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedule: Monday to Friday 08.30 and 17.30 (Set day off in the week) Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the complete in-centre customer journey from arrival through to departure and future bookings
  • Deliver outstanding, consistent, and memorable service that builds advocacy and loyalty
  • Proactively manage customer expectations, handle queries professionally, and resolve enquiries and complaints with care and speed
  • Maintain impeccable front-of-house presentation, merchandising, and brand standards at all times
  • Act as the single point of contact for the customer during their visit, ensuring seamless hand-offs to the workshop team

What you’ll need to be considered for the role:

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing sales, advisory, or service role (for example retail, automotive, hospitality, or professional services)
  • Demonstrable track record of building rapport, handling objections, and closing sales ethically
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and honestly (training provided)
  • Customer-first mindset with genuine passion for delivering outstanding experiences
  • High integrity and commitment to ethical selling – comfortable saying “no” when it is the right thing for the customer
  • Ability to learn and retain detailed product knowledge across tyres, MOT, servicing and related areas (full training provided)
  • Resilient, adaptable, and calm under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Collaborative team player who supports colleagues and shares knowledge
  • No driving licence required
