We are a well-established, family-run independent automotive workshop with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Parts / Service Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with automotive parts knowledge who enjoys dealing with customers and being at the heart of a busy workshop environment.
The Role
As our Parts / Service Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for customers while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the workshop. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting customers and handling enquiries professionally
- Booking vehicles in for servicing, repairs and MOTs
- Preparing estimates and keeping customers updated on work progress
- Sourcing and ordering automotive parts from suppliers
- Managing parts stock and ensuring efficient parts availability
- Raising job cards, invoices and workshop paperwork
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Liaising with technicians, suppliers and customers to ensure smooth workflow
- Delivering exceptional customer service at all times
What We're Looking For
Essential as a Parts / Service Receptionist
- Previous experience within the automotive industry
- Good automotive parts knowledge and experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
- Confident using computer systems and workshop management software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable as a Parts / Service Receptionist
- Previous Service Advisor or Service Reception experience
- Experience within an independent garage or workshop environment
- Knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs and MOT processes
