Mobile Vehicle Technician providing servicing, maintenance and repair via prebooked appointments at customers' home address or work location. This is a new and specialist division of the UK's number one national breakdown company with over 15 million members.

Location: Maidenhead

Pay & Salary: £45,370 (inclusive of LWA) OTE: Up to £57,000

Job type: Permanent / Full time role

Shift and Schedule: Home based, working 40 hours per week across 5 days (Monday to Saturday) 8am – 8PM, one in four Saturdays. Optional overtime: 1 day per month = £3,000 additional per year; 2 days per month = £5,000 additional per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at the customer selected location e.g. driveway, office car park.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Payment handling through card transactions.
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.

Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair; ideally Level 3 qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles, either in a workshop or mobile vehicle role.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.
