LGV Test Centre Manager

We are seeking an experienced LGV Test Centre Manager to join our team in Cramlington. Reporting directly to the Logistics Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operation of our test centre and workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Workshop Management: Lead the daily operations, ensuring high levels of efficiency and productivity in the servicing and repair of LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles.
- Business Development & Sales: Drive growth through strategic business development and effective sales initiatives.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage budgets and control costs, ensuring financial efficiency.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous health and safety standards within the workshop.
- Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring effective fleet maintenance.
- Workload Planning: Plan and schedule workloads, including managing the ATF lane.
- Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing on parts.
- Invoicing Systems: Oversee and ensure the effective operation of invoicing systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Commercial Experience: Proven track record in business development and sales.
- Managerial Experience: Previous experience managing a workshop, particularly with LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles.
- Leadership Skills: Strong team leadership and management abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills.
- IT Skills: Proficient in IT, with the ability to manage invoicing and other digital systems.
- Preferred: Category C or C&E driving license (preferred but not mandatory).
