Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role for a Level 3 qualified Technician, or a Level 2 Technician / Mechanic with at least 3 years’ experience, working with one of the UK’s leading automotive groups on a wide range of vehicles. The business operates a large network of dealerships and aftersales sites, offering a professional workshop environment, ongoing manufacturer training, and excellent long-term career opportunities. Skills and experience NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent IMI / City & Guilds qualification). Hands-on workshop experience as a mechanic or technician, ideally within a franchised dealership environment.  Job responsibilities for the Vehicle Technician role Carry out comprehensive vehicle servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and component updates, in line with manufacturer standards. Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across braking, steering, suspension, and basic engine systems. Complete thorough Electronic Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs) to identify and record any work required. Record accurate technical findings and parts requirements clearly on digital job cards. Complete standard warranty repairs in line with factory protocols and agreed timeframes. Maintain high levels of workshop productivity to meet individual efficiency and first-time fix targets.
