We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester, MOT Technician, Vehicle Technician or Mechanic to join an established independent workshop in Crawley. Applicants must be confident carrying out MOT tests independently and able to complete servicing and general mechanical repairs when required. A Full UK Driving Licence, own tools, valid MOT testing status and the right to work in the UK are required.
Job Details:
- Location: Crawley
- Salary: £35,000 basic higher salary considered for strong MOT Tester / Mechanic experience
- Bonus: Available for completing more than 10 additional MOTs per week
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm. 1 in 3 Saturdays, normally 8:30am - 12:30pm
- Overtime: Available, including additional Saturday hours

MOT Tester Role:
- Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards
- Complete vehicle servicing and general mechanical repairs
- Support the workshop with MOT and mechanical work depending on workload
- Maintain accurate MOT testing and workshop records
- Complete work safely and efficiently within a busy workshop
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, vehicle safety and housekeeping
MOT Tester Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an MOT Tester essential
- Valid MOT testing status essential
- Strong servicing and general mechanical repair skills
- Ability to carry out MOT tests confidently and independently
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
- Own tools essential
- Right to work in the UK
- Stronger mechanical experience may be reflected in the salary offered
