Overview: I’m working with a well-established automotive main dealership in Harrogate who are looking to add a PDI Technician to their workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical skills who wants stability, progression, and access to high-quality training, including hybrid and EV development.
The Role: You’ll be responsible for preparing new and used vehicles to manufacturer standards, carrying out PDI checks, and supporting the wider workshop team. This position suits a technician who enjoys a structured workload, modern equipment, and a professional workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology
- Carrying out servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Performing warranty repairs and ensuring accurate documentation
- Road-testing vehicles to confirm faults are resolved
- Maintaining high standards of paperwork and job write-ups
What You’ll Need:
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance Repair (or equivalent)
- Main dealer level 2 considered
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Ability to work independently and support the wider team
- Motivated, eager to learn, and open to further training
- Newly qualified technicians will also be considered
