We are currently recruiting for a Service Advisor to join a busy and successful automotive business in Bury St Edmunds.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong customer service background who is looking to build a career within the automotive industry.
Previous automotive or Service Advisor experience is not essential – if you're confident dealing with customers, have good communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
The role offers a competitive basic salary alongside an excellent bonus structure, with earnings in excess of £40,000 . Strong performers are earning around £1,000 per month in bonus , providing excellent earning potential on top of the basic salary.
Working Hours Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
1 in 2 Saturdays: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Service Advisor Responsibilities:
Meeting and greeting customers in a professional and friendly manner
Booking vehicles in for servicing, maintenance and repair work
Keeping customers informed on the progress of their vehicle
Liaising with technicians and the workshop team
Explaining required work and associated costs clearly to customers
Providing a high level of customer service throughout the process
Handling telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries
Completing relevant administration accurately
Helping ensure customers receive an excellent experience from start to finish
What We're Looking For
You do not need previous automotive experience to be considered.
We are looking for candidates who have:
Previous customer service experience
Strong communication and people skills
A professional and approachable manner
Confidence dealing with customers face-to-face and over the telephone
Good organisational skills
The ability to work effectively in a busy environment
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Experience within retail, hospitality, sales, call centres or another customer-facing environment could transfer particularly well into this position.
