We are seeking a driven and experienced Workshop Controller to join the high-performing team at Lexus Croydon. This is a pivotal leadership role within one of the UK’s most prestigious automotive brands, sitting at the heart of workshop operations. As a Workshop Controller, you’ll be the crucial link between the showroom, service department, and technical teams — ensuring productivity is maximised, standards are upheld, and customers receive an exceptional Lexus experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee day-to-day workshop operations and manage workflow in a busy dealership
- Act as the main point of contact between service advisors, sales teams, and technicians
- Monitor and enforce health and safety standards across the workshop
- Manage workshop waste, chemicals, specialist tools, and compliance procedures
- Balance showroom support with effective workshop leadership
- Ensure work is completed efficiently, on time, and to Lexus quality standards
- Lead, motivate, and performance-manage a team of skilled technicians, setting the standard expected from a Workshop Controller within a premium brand
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous Workshop Controller experience is essential
- Proven experience managing and leading workshop teams
- Strong technical knowledge with confident IT skills
- Excellent communication skills across multiple departments
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and confident under pressure
- Comfortable overseeing workshop productivity, KPIs, and compliance as a senior Workshop Controller
- Full UK driving licence required
