Preparation Technician – The Role:
As a Preparation Technician, you’ll carry out vehicle preparation to high standards, supporting the workshop with essential checks and tasks. You’ll complete pre‑delivery inspections, prepare vehicles for MOTs and servicing, and assist with general workshop duties to ensure vehicles are ready for customers and internal use.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing vehicles and equipment in line with company standards
- Performing basic mechanical checks and identifying defects
- Preparing vehicles for MOTs, servicing, inspections or handover
- Completing pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs)
- Removing and refitting components when required
- Supporting technicians and workshop staff with preparation tasks
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a workshop, automotive, fleet or preparation environment
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance
- Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Full UK driving licence preferred
