Mobile Vehicle Technician providing servicing, maintenance and repair, via prebooked appointments, at customers' home address or place of work. This is a new and specialist division for the number one national breakdown company in the UK, with over 15 million members.

Must have right to work in the UK status.

Location: Chester

Pay / salary: £40,170 Basic + Bonus (Up to £6,000) + (£28.96ph) + Company Van + Fuel Card + Tools Provided, OTE: Up to £52,000 (Guaranteed overtime option to increase your basic salary)

Job type: Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedule for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays, 40 hours per week. 1 day of overtime per month = £3,000 additional per year; 2 days of overtime per month = £5,000 additional per year, completely optional more flexibility, more reward.

Job Responsibilities for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role:

  • Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at customer selected locations e.g. driveway, office car park.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Payment handling through card transactions.
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.

What you'll need to be considered for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role:

  • Must have a minimum of a Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair, ideally Level 3 but will consider level 2. (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent)
  • Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles, either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
  • The ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures.
  • A customer-focused approach.
  • Must have a full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans.
