Preparation Technician Solihull

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 basic OTE £48,000

Hours: Monday to Friday Days, Saturday morning on rota

OTE: £12,000+ uncapped bonus

The Role:

As a Preparation Technician, you will carry out vehicle preparation to high standards, supporting the workshop with essential checks and tasks. You will complete pre-delivery inspections, prepare vehicles for MOTs and servicing, and assist with general workshop duties to ensure vehicles are ready for customers and internal use.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Preparing vehicles and equipment in line with company standards
  • Performing basic mechanical checks and identifying defects
  • Preparing vehicles for MOTs, servicing, inspections or handover
  • Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
  • Removing and refitting components when required
  • Supporting technicians and workshop staff with preparation tasks

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a workshop, automotive, fleet or preparation environment
  • Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance
  • Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
