We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join a growing fleet operation covering the Teesside area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled commercial vehicle technician who enjoys working independently and providing high-quality maintenance and repair services directly at customer sites and roadside locations. You'll be equipped with a fully fitted company vehicle and the latest diagnostic equipment, allowing you to deliver exceptional service while working across a varied fleet of commercial vehicles. Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites and roadside locations to diagnose, service, and repair commercial vehicles
- Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and repair faults across engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical systems
- Use modern diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues efficiently
- Complete repairs to manufacturer and company standards
- Accurately complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the business professionally
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety requirements
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Mobile HGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience using modern diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential)
- A proactive approach and commitment to delivering high-quality work
