Salary: £39,000 - £42,000

Hours: Mon–Fri, 7am–4pm, occasional Saturday as overtime

Location: Rugby

We are seeking a highly organised Vehicle Inspector to oversee the vehicle check-in and inspection process for all incoming cars delivered via transporters and auction suppliers. This role is ideal for someone with strong automotive knowledge and vehicle inspecting experience.

About the Role

  • As the vehicle inspector you will be responsible for booking in vehicles as they arrive on site.
  • You will ensure that all cars are accurately checked, documented, and assessed for any damage, discrepancies, or issues that require claims or follow-up with suppliers.
  • You will act as the key point of contact between transporters, inspection staff, technicians, and management to ensure a smooth, efficient inbound process.
  • Lead the inbound team responsible for booking in all arriving vehicles.
  • Oversee initial inspections for damage, missing items, and condition discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for auction purchases and supplier deliveries.
  • Raise claims for vehicles that are not as described or arrive with faults.
  • Liaise with technicians for deeper mechanical assessments when required.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, organisation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Report daily inbound activity to management.
  • Support continuous improvement of the check-in and inspection process.
