Job type: Permanent / full-time role

Shift and schedule for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role

Home-based, working 40 hours per week across 5 days (Monday to Saturday), 8.30am – 5pm, working 1 in 4 Saturdays.

1 day of overtime per month = £3,000 additional per year; 2 days of overtime per month = £5,000 additional per year, completely optional – more flexibility, more reward.

Job Responsibilities for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role

  • Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at the customer’s selected location, e.g. driveway or office car park.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Payment handling through card transactions.
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.

What you’ll need to be considered for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role

  • Must have a minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair, or ideally a Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification hands‑on experience with vehicles, either in a workshop or a mobile vehicle role.
  • The ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures.
  • Must have a full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.
