Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role with a Level 3 qualification, or Level 2 Technician / Mechanic with 3 years’ experience, for one of the UK’s leading vehicle retail groups, working on a wide range of vehicles. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities.

Location - Huddersfield

Salary – Up to £42,000 Basic + Bonus + Overtime OTE 46k DOE & Qualifications

Days – Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm, Saturday mornings on a rota

This role sits within a busy regional accounts team and provides the opportunity to support key finance processes across the vehicle ledger while working closely with sales administration and wider dealership operations.

You would be working for a premier international automotive retailer operating dozens of dealership sites across the UK. Representing major prestige and volume motor brands, their workshops maintain and repair thousands of vehicles annually using state-of-the- art diagnostic technology. They pride themselves on providing ongoing technical progression and an industry-leading support network for their workshop staff.

Skills and experience

  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent; alternatively, Level 2 Technician/Mechanic qualification with at least 3 years’ experience
  • Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties

Job Responsibilities for the Vehicle Technician role

  • Your primary duty is to maintain, service, and repair a diverse range of customer and dealership vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Carry out routine servicing, safety inspections, vehicle health checks, and complex diagnostic fault-finding.
  • Work on mechanical and electrical systems, including brakes, clutches, suspensions, and gearboxes.
