How to prepare for a job interview at Octane Recruitment Ltd

✨Know Your Stuff

Make sure you brush up on your technical knowledge related to HGVs. Be prepared to discuss specific repairs and maintenance tasks you've handled, especially those involving diagnostics and complex issues. This will show that you're not just familiar with the basics but can tackle the challenges of the role.

✨Show Off Your Experience

Highlight your previous experience as a vehicle technician, especially if you've worked with HGVs or have NVQ Level 3 qualifications. Use examples from your past roles to demonstrate your problem-solving skills and how you've maintained high-quality repair standards.

✨Communicate Clearly

Since communication with customers is key, practice explaining technical issues in simple terms. Think about how you would describe a vehicle problem to someone without a technical background. This will help you stand out as someone who can bridge the gap between technical jargon and customer understanding.

✨Ask Smart Questions

Prepare some thoughtful questions about the company culture, training opportunities, and the specifics of the split shift schedule. This shows that you're genuinely interested in the role and want to ensure it's a good fit for both you and the employer.
