HGV Mechanic
Location: Erith
Salary: up to Β£23.50 per hour plus bonus and overtime
Shifts: Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday 1pm to 9.30 pm

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client’s workshop in Erith The successful HGV Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles makes and models.

HGV Mechanic Responsibilities

– Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
– Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
– Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
– Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
– Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
– Maintain a clean and organised work area.

HGV Mechanic Requirements

– You will need to have experience as a vehicle technician and a relevant and up to date qualification. City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential
– Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGV\’s
– HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred
– Experience with Tail lifts is desirable
