Workshop Controller - Beckenham

We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Controller, Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Coordinator or Aftersales Controller to join a busy independent garage in Beckenham. Applicants must have strong automotive aftersales experience, be confident allocating work to Technicians, managing parts and quotations, handling customers and supporting the day-to-day workshop operation.

A Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK are required.

Job Details

• Location: Beckenham
• Salary: £35,000-£40,000 basic
• Bonus: Annual performance-related bonus
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm, usually finishing around 5:30pm depending on workload. 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00am-12:30pm

Workshop Controller Role

• Allocate work effectively across the Technician team
• Support the day-to-day coordination of workshop activity
• Order parts required for servicing and repair work
• Prepare quotations and communicate costs to customers
• Handle incoming customer calls and service enquiries
• Provide additional support on service reception when required
• Take on further workshop and aftersales responsibilities as the role develops

Workshop Controller Requirements

• Previous Workshop Controller, Senior Service Advisor or strong automotive aftersales experience
• Experience coordinating Technician workloads within a garage or workshop
• Confident dealing with a high volume of customer enquiries
• Strong knowledge of quotations and parts ordering
• Excellent organisation and ability to prioritise workshop requirements
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working within a busy independent garage environment
• Full UK Driving Licence - essential
• Right to work in the UK

This is an urgent requirement offering a hands-on position within a family-run independent garage, with the opportunity to take on further responsibility as the role develops.
