We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Controller, HGV Workshop Controller or Commercial Vehicle Workshop Controller to join a busy commercial vehicle dealership. Applicants must have previous experience managing a commercial vehicle workshop, strong knowledge of HGV maintenance operations and Large Goods Vehicle Operator Licensing requirements, and the right to work in the UK.

Workshop Controller Role
- Manage daily workshop operations, allocating scheduled and urgent repairs to HGV and Commercial Vehicle Technicians
- Maximise technician productivity, workshop efficiency and labour sales
- Monitor repair progress to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met
- Oversee warranty claims, technical processes and accurate workshop documentation
- Manage, coach and develop Technicians, including performance reviews and training plans
- Work closely with the Depot Manager, Service Advisors and technical departments to improve workshop performance
- Maintain high standards of quality control, compliance, and Health & Safety
- Right to work in the UK
Workshop Controller Requirements
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, HGV Workshop Controller or Commercial Vehicle Workshop Manager
- Proven experience running a commercial vehicle workshop
- Good knowledge of Large Goods Vehicle Operator Licensing legislation
- Experience with warranty processes and claims
- Strong understanding of workshop loading, productivity, and performance targets
- Confident using workshop management systems and computerised processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Right to work in the UK
