Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 basic per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Long-term career development and progression opportunitiesWe are currently recruiting for a Parts Assistant to join a well-established and growing business in the Sutton Coldfield area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous parts experience gained within a mechanical environment. You could come from the motor trade, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy machinery, material handling or a similar mechanical industry.

Working closely with the Parts Supervisor, the successful Parts Assistant will support the day-to-day running of the department, helping with parts administration, stock control and parts requests, while ensuring technicians and other departments receive the correct parts efficiently.

Parts Assistant Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day running of the parts department




• Process internal and external parts requests




• Order and source parts when required




• Receive, check and correctly store incoming stock




• Update internal systems and maintain accurate parts records




• Assist with stock control and inventory management




• Complete general administration and paperwork




• Liaise with technicians and other departments regarding parts requirements




• Work closely with the Parts Supervisor to ensure an efficient parts operation




• Maintain a clean, organised and accurate parts department

Parts Assistant Requirements

• Previous experience working with parts within a mechanical environment




• Experience within automotive, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy machinery, material handling or a similar sector




• Good administration and computer skills




• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail




• Parts ordering or stock control experience would be advantageous




• Ability to prioritise workload within a busy environment




• Good communication and team-working skillsPositive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
