We are seeking a
Senior Production Engineer in Northamptonshire to play a key role in bridging Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring products are delivered efficiently, accurately and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to broaden their technical influence while developing towards a future manufacturing leadership position.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Production Engineer
- Create, validate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product structures.
- Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and support configuration control activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Maintain manufacturing data packs, assembly instructions and production documentation.
- Support product lifecycle activities, including component obsolescence and alternative component approvals.
- Act as the technical interface between Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Quality teams.
- Investigate production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Support product updates across mechanical, electrical and electronic assemblies.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and production personnel.
Requirements of a Senior Production Engineer
- Experience in Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a similar technical manufacturing role.
- Strong experience managing BOMs, engineering changes and manufacturing documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting manufacturing environments and driving process improvements.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and engineering data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline.
