This is an opportunity to join a leading advanced manufacturing environment specialising in high performance power conversion and electronics solutions. The organisation operates across global markets including server, storage and networking systems, as well as electromobility applications such as electric vehicles, robotics and energy storage.
As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of manufacturing processes across multiple new product introduction projects. You will support production teams, drive process improvements and ensure successful product transfers across UK and international manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes and process controls across UK, China and Japan based operations.
- Provide first line technical support to production teams across assembly, test, dicing, moulding, encapsulation and laser marking processes.
- Support prototype builds, pilot production and full scale manufacturing introduction activities.
- Collaborate with design, quality and production teams for smooth new product introductions.
- Develop and review bills of materials and process costings including labour time analysis.
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation including work instructions, control plans, failure mode analysis and process flow documentation.
- Produce yield reports, failure analysis reports and continuous improvement recommendations.
Requirements:
- HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline or relevant manufacturing experience.
- Strong mechanical engineering understanding with hands on manufacturing experience.
