We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Help Desk Service Technician based in Bedfordshire to join a growing technical support team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for problem-solving.

In this role, you will provide technical support for commercial cooking systems, supporting service partners, dealers, third-party engineers, and end-user customers. You will play a key role in ensuring exceptional customer service while helping to maintain efficient technical operations.

Key Responsibilities of a Help Desk Service Technician

  • Provide technical support via telephone following breakdowns of commercial cooking systems for external service partners, dealers, third-party engineers, and end-user customers.
  • Receive and manage incoming service requests, dispatching technical engineers and prioritising tasks based on customer requirements.
  • Process technical engineer callouts through Salesforce, reviewing documentation and ensuring all requirements are met before payment processing.
  • Maintain and manage customer data, ensuring all records are accurate and consistently updated.
  • Respond to technical queries relating to faults, spare parts, and documentation via shared and personal mailboxes.
  • Support regional technical managers with a range of technical and operational projects.
  • Assist regional technical managers in the workshop and during customer site visits.
  • Work closely with the customer service team to coordinate installations for new cooking systems for dealers and end-user customers.
  • Maintain office stock levels, ensuring stock records accurately reflect physical inventory.

Requirements of a Help Desk Service Technician

  • Previous technical support or help desk experience.
  • Hands-on fault diagnosis and repair experience involving mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Strong administrative skills and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
