A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Machine Shop Supervisor in Gloucester within a growing precision manufacturing organisation. This role offers the chance to lead a skilled production team in a fast-paced engineering environment producing high-quality components for a range of demanding industries.

The Machine Shop Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving daily operations and performance across a busy machine shop. You will ensure production targets are met while maintaining high standards across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of operators and setter operators
  • Driving daily production output and performance
  • Coordinating with production, engineering and quality teams
  • Monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement
  • Ensuring effective use of ERP systems (IFS) and accurate production data

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • Significant experience in a manufacturing supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of CNC, milling, turning and manual machining
  • Ability to read engineering drawings including GD&T
  • Experience with ERP systems (IFS preferred)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and KPI reporting

This role is initially based on a day shift pattern before moving onto a double day shift after approximately 4 weeks, with shift allowance included.
