I’m recruiting on behalf of an exciting and innovative engineering business seeking a Production Manager to support their cutting-edge submerged manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for a mechanically minded professional with a passion for production support, preventive maintenance, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical support for submerged plant production equipment and processes.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance and calibration schedules independently.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation (PPMs, calibration certificates, RAMS, etc.).
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of equipment breakdowns (e.g., chambers, engraving machines).
- Use SAP to manage asset tracking, tooling databases, and raise/track SPRs.
- Support New Product Introductions (NPI) and production ramp-ups (NRP).
- Promote Lean/6S practices and identify improvement opportunities.
- Act as a mentor and promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong mechanical background in a manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of SAP and structured documentation systems.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with quality, engineering, and inventory teams.
- Committed to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and safety-first culture.
Shift Pattern: Weekend Rotation (33 hours/week)
- Friday to Sunday
- Days: 06:00 – 17:45 (2 weeks)
- Nights: 18:00 – 05:45 (2 weeks)
