A leading manufacturer of a range of complex electronic applications for the military and aerospace industries. Our client is looking for a proactive Project Engineer on a FTC for 12 months to join a growing and forward-thinking maintenance team. This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to someone with proven experience delivering projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment, covering asset acquisition, commissioning, systems implementation, and facilities improvements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver projects end to end, from initial scope and planning through execution, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop and control project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and value for money.
- Produce and maintain project documentation, including User Requirement Specifications (URS), Gantt charts, and progress reports.
- Lead the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing and production assets.
- Oversee the implementation of software and hardware systems, ensuring effective integration with existing operations.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and safe delivery.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including Permit to Work (PTW), RAMS, CDM, and site safety standards.
Requirements
- HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven project engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
