An exciting opportunity for a Senior FPGA Engineer to join a growing engineering business developing advanced digital RF and satellite communications technology used worldwide. This is a senior, hands-on role where you'll lead the architecture and development of complex FPGA solutions for digital IF and signal-processing applications, while influencing technical direction and mentoring other engineers.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading FPGA architecture, design and implementation
- Developing maintainable VHDL or Verilog code and verification environments
- Managing simulation, synthesis, timing closure and hardware validation
- Supporting FPGA hardware bring-up and system integration
- Working across hardware, software, systems and test teams
- Improving Linux-based development, scripting and build automation
What we're looking for:
- Strong FPGA design and verification experience
- Background in digital signal processing, digital IF, SDR or communications systems
- Experience across HDL development, simulation, synthesis and timing closure
- Strong Linux, scripting and automation skills
- The ability to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on
- Experience with RFSoC, MPSoC, Python, C/C++ or modern FPGA verification tools would be beneficial.
