We’re recruiting an experienced Stores Controller to join a busy production and supply chain environment within a well-established manufacturing business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and understands the importance of stock control in a production-led business.
You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end control of inventory, from goods-in through to despatch, supporting production and wider supply chain requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing inventory control from receipt to despatch
- Daily cycle counts and perpetual stock checks (Cat A & B)
- Investigating discrepancies and completing root cause analysis
- Kit picking to works order picklists and preparing kits for assembly
- Maintaining accurate stock records within Sage
- Managing kanban and line-side stock
- Goods-in duties including checking quantity, quality, and paperwork
- Storing parts correctly, following FIFO and labelling procedures
- Booking parts in and out and managing material requests
- Packing, labelling, and preparing finished goods for shipment
- Supporting on-time delivery of customer orders
- Replenishing consumables and managing use-by dates
- General stores duties including mail distribution and internal deliveries
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role within manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail with good numeracy and data entry skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to support the wider team
- Confident communicator with a positive, can-do attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Sage or similar systems is desirable
- Goods-in or QC experience would be an advantage
Additional Information:
- Overtime may be required during busy periods
- Role includes occasional driving of a company vehicle
- Full training provided where needed
