A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Electronics Engineer β Production Engineering in Cambridge (Waterbeach) with a leading high-technology organisation developing advanced thermal imaging, night vision, and augmented reality systems. This role offers the chance to join a newly formed NPI team focused on taking complex electronic products from R&D into scalable manufacturing.
The successful candidate will work across R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure electronic designs are fully production-ready. This role will focus on PCB design support, manufacturability improvements, and the development of production test solutions for advanced electronic systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the transition of products from prototype into volume manufacture
- Supporting PCB assembly, integration, and electronic fault finding
- Developing and improving automated production test equipment and fixtures
- Supporting NPI builds, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution (desirable)
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
- Strong experience with PCB assembly, integration, and electronics manufacturing
- Experience supporting products through NPI and into production
- Understanding of ISO9001 or similar quality systems (desirable)
Experience with automated test equipment, microcontrollers, LabVIEW, C/C++, or military-standard product development would be advantageous.
