We are working with a leading technology organisation to recruit an experienced Project Manager for a permanent position based in Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with an engineering, electronics or R&D background to manage the delivery of technically advanced RF and microwave products.
The Project Manager job will involve managing projects from initial concept and R&D through to product delivery and manufacture. You will work closely with engineering, electronics, manufacturing, test and quality teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required technical standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage RF and microwave product development projects from planning through to delivery
- Coordinate R&D, electronics, manufacturing, test and quality engineering teams
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks and milestones
- Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Support new product development and NPI activities
- Identify and resolve project and technical delivery issues
- Provide regular project updates to senior management and customers
- Ensure projects remain on track through to manufacture and final delivery
Skills & Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will have experience managing technical projects within an electronics, engineering, R&D or product development environment. You will ideally have:
- Experience managing electronics or RF and microwave technology projects
- Experience working with R&D or engineering teams
- New Product Development / NPI experience
- Strong project planning, scheduling and risk management skills
- Experience managing suppliers and technical stakeholders
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- A technical understanding of electronics products
RF and microwave experience is advantageous, but not essential. The key requirement is experience managing technically complex electronics or engineering products and working closely with technical teams.
This position offers the opportunity to work on complex RF and microwave technology projects within a technically focused engineering environment. You will have exposure to the full product lifecycle, working alongside R&D and engineering teams to take products from development through to manufacture and customer delivery.
