A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a growing engineering organisation supporting complex electrical and renewable energy projects across UK-wide & Offshore locations. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced electrical professional who enjoys commissioning, fault finding and working on technically challenging customer projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical commissioning, testing and fault finding across LV, MV and HV systems.
- Commission electrical panels, control systems, protection equipment and associated site systems.
- Complete pre-commissioning inspections, functional testing and system verification.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and commissioning documentation.
- Support renewable energy projects including wind turbines and battery energy storage systems.
- Identify and resolve electrical and control system faults during commissioning activities.
- Complete commissioning reports, test records and customer handover documentation.
- Work with customers, project teams and subcontractors across UK-wide & Offshore project locations.
Skills & Experience
- Recognised electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or equivalent.
- Experience working as an Electrical or Commissioning Engineer within industrial, power or renewable energy environments.
- Experience commissioning electrical panels, switchgear, control systems and protection equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical documentation.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Strong commitment to health and safety with a professional customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to travel and work on customer sites, including offshore projects where required.
