Overview

Test Engineer – Isle of Wight. A Test Engineer is required to join an engineering team based on the Isle of Wight. This role offers hands-on responsibility for hardware testing, verification, and compliance across complex electronic products.

Role overview

The Test Engineer on the Isle of Wight will:

  • Plan and execute hardware test activities across the product lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain structured test plans and procedures
  • Perform functional, verification, and qualification testing
  • Generate objective evidence to demonstrate compliance with technical requirements

Skills & Experience – Test Engineer, Isle of Wight

Essential

  • HND / Foundation Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or similar)
  • 3+ years\\\’ experience in a product test or compliance environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation

Desirable

  • Experience with CE / UKCA marking
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD or DEF-STAN standards
  • Manufacturing or laboratory-based test experience
  • Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
