We are looking for a skilled and driven Test Development Engineer based near Edinburgh, Livingston to help bring cutting-edge products to life. In this role, you’ll be a key player in the design, development, and validation of test solutions—from initial concept to commercial launch. Your work will directly support the delivery of high-quality, reliable products to global markets.
As a Test Development Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, and verify robust test systems using industry-standard tools and equipment.
- Create and analyse test designs with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full product life cycle - from concept to sustaining support.
- Maintain detailed project documentation aligned with quality and change management standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean Sigma principles to enhance processes and eliminate waste.
Required skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in test design or similar engineering roles.
- Must have knowledge in LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Hands-on experience with automated test systems, functional and environmental testing.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Sigma principles and structured design methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
